Restoration work in North Lincoln County watersheds often entails significant work by volunteers. After experts have designed a project and contractors have completed the heavy lifting, volunteers maybe needed to take over. Whether it is planting native trees, removing invasive weeds or rescuing fish, SDCWC relies on the generous time of dozens of volunteers.
Past work parties have included plant establishment and native species eradication at estuary restoration sites on the Salmon River at Tamara Quays and Pixieland, installation of planting beds at SDCWC's new Native Plant Nursery, and planting native trees in Holmes Rd. Park.
